For the family room, snug or drawing room, set for relaxation in the comfort of beautifully crafted cabinetry.
Filkins Manor, Oxfordshire
Designed by Studio Hooton, photographed (right and above) by Martin Gardner, this drawing room library cabinetry and paneling was designed to suit the style and proportions of the Georgian-inspired new build property. The generously proportioned room, with large Georgian-style windows, called for a traditional joinery style, bold colour palette and brass accents, meeting the detailed cornicing above. Inset lighting adds depth and dramatic effect.
Designed by Fiona Parke of Johnston Parke Interiors, as part of a whole house cabinetry project, the library units at Russet House (above left and right) were translated from design sketches to detailed CAD production drawings in the Barr Joinery studio. Distinguishing design features include triple shaker detailing to French doors, bespoke paneling and cornices to framing each cabinetry piece and inset lighting, in conjunction with Alex Fry of Northcote Lighting.
