You may recall last September when we were commissioned for a very exciting project by Shalini Misra Ltd, an international design house, who approached us to realise their vision for the Champagne Bar at last years Decorex, to be the centrepiece in it’s 40th year.
The bar was a great success, going on to be used at a second event at Holiday House London, a fabulous event supporting breast cancer research through a network of some of the most talented and inspirational interior designers in the world.
We thought this is where our adventures with the bar had come to an end… so this week we were delighted when a very exciting email dropped into our inbox. We are so pleased to share that in this years ‘Restaurant & Bar Design Awards’ the bar has been nominated for the award of the best ‘Restaurant or Bar in a retail space’.
Now in its tenth year, The Restaurant & Bar Design Awards is a globally recognised competition dedicated to the design of food and beverage spaces. With judges including Enric Pastor (Editor in Chief, AD Architectural Digest) Whitney Robinson (Editior in Chief, Elle Décor USA), Ewan Venters (CEO, Fortum & Mason) and, one of our favourites, Michele Ogundehin (Editor at Large, Elle Decoration UK.) This is no doubt a wonderful opportunity to sit at the highest international level and get yourselves noticed.
With seven other fantastic nominees, including Finch Interiors & STAC Architecture, it is a tough category (pictured). We are hopeful that through their stunning design and our meticulous execution, that caused such a stir last September, Shalini Misra and her team will take home the award!
This year will we will be exhibiting our own stand at Decorex, so keep an eye out for updates. We look forward to seeing you there from the 16th-19th September 2018!
