No more hot-desks... Barr HQ continues its innovative re-modelling

Over the past few years the Barr Group has been lucky enough to experience strong organic growth across all three companies, resulting in a bit of a squish over at Barr HQ! Balancing the never ending musical chairs of the office has been fun, with various parties vying for the top spot next to the balcony, with views across the Oxfordshire countryside (the accounts team won out in the end!).

Reluctant to give up the gorgeous scenic spot at Field Farm, the SB Interior Design team were delighted to start plans for some in-house remodeling. With a little ingenuity and much enthusiasm the highly skilled joinery workshop team have managed to create an entirely new modular office within the footprint of our current converted barn.

The first step was some very much-needed natural light. Punching through the barn ceiling are three brand new skylights flooding the space with sunlight and completely transforming the old reception area. As we know natural light helps with productivity, concentration levels and makes for a happier work place and it has made a huge difference already. The BarrJoinery office team are chomping at the bit to get their legs under their new desks in their own dedicated zone.

Crittall screens glazed with reeded glass and finished in Little Greene’s matte ‘Jack Black’ frame the new office space, with made to measure timber desks and carefully positioned industrial wall lighting for when the winter months roll in.

The reception has also had a bit of a makeover; moving into the central hub of the office, complete with a new trend wall, ready to provide inspiration to all Barr HQ visitors. Come in and see the transformation for yourselves this Saturday 14th October at the Barr Group Home Show.

When you pop down you may also notice an interesting new structure in the car park, currently looking suspiciously like a large container. Could it be our new design studio? For more on its upcoming transformation watch this space…
